Zhuoyuan Li 李卓远

Zhuoyuan Li is a composer, arranger, and music producer whose work spans film and television, symphonic arrangement, contemporary experimental composition, game music, pop, and jazz. After six years of secondary education in Sydney, he brings a cross-cultural perspective to his creative practice. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Composition at the USC Thornton School of Music.

His screen credits include composition and scoring for the television dramas Live Long and Prosper and No Pain No Gain, with work ranging from electronic and symphonic textures to pop, jazz, funk, and chamber music. He has also composed scores for historical and fantasy audio dramas adapted from novels by Gu Xuerou, Meng Xishi, and priest.

He contributed arrangement and orchestration for approximately 20 core songs in Zhang Bichen’s Epic of Love symphonic concerts. Other arrangement and orchestration credits include Wang Lida’s symphonic concert and Xinhua’s showcase of emerging singers of Chinese traditional vocal music. His work for CCTV’s 2026 summer concert programme and a children’s choral concert at the 41st Shanghai Spring International Music Festival spans arrangement, orchestration, and music production.

For the stage, he has provided arrangement and orchestration for musicals inspired by Pu Songling and the history of Dongguan, as well as Meet in Musicals, Beijing Dance Academy’s showcase of original Chinese musicals. His credits also include orchestration for a musical about the poet Su Dongpo, and composition and orchestration for East China Normal University’s opera Qingyi.

His game and commercial work includes arrangement and orchestration for a Taomee online game’s 16th-anniversary theme song, and music design and arrangement for PROYA’s “No Skin Drama. Just PROYA.” campaign. Recording credits include arrangements for Li Chenxi’s 2025 EP and Luo Lei’s 2025 single, spanning contemporary pop and retro rumba.

His orchestral collaborations include the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Symphony Orchestra, Xi’an Symphony Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Shanxi Symphony Orchestra, and Budapest Scoring Orchestra.
